Description: Sharpening 101 introduces you to the various types of sharpening. Oil stones, water stones, diamond stones, dry grinding and sharpening on the Tormek are covered. Various woodworking hand tools will be sharpened and appropriate bevel angles will be covered for each tool. This is a hands-on class that is sure to hone your sharpening skills.

Description: Improve Project Quality and Precision with Select Hand ToolsHave you ever sanded through plywood veneer while trying to level the edge banding? Or made a tenon too loose for the mortise? This class will teach you when to supplement your power tools with a few key hand tools to make pieces perfectly fit and improve the overall appearance of your project. Identifying the essential hand planes, scrapers, and how to use them will be covered and demonstrated. These tools and techniques can also bring a lot of fun and satisfaction to woodworking. Each student will leave with a shooting board to use at home.
