Join us for a hands-on, project-focused class designed to build your skills, give you plenty of practice, and help you continue growing as a woodturner. In this class, you’ll create caterpillar pens, a fun spindle-turning project that introduces and reinforces essential techniques like straight cuts, long coves, and beads. You’ll learn how to use specialized tools, including a bead cutter and parting tool, while becoming more comfortable with chucking, preparing blanks, and safely mounting wood on the lathe. Whether you’re looking to expand your turning skills or simply enjoy a creative day at the lathe, this class offers a great opportunity to practice, have fun, and connect with fellow woodworking enthusiasts. Come turn, learn, and maybe make a new friend or two along the way!
Ready to try power carving? This beginner-friendly class is a great way to get started! You’ll carve your own comfort bird using a bandsaw and power carver while learning important safety tips, choosing the right burrs, and practicing simple carving techniques. The instructor will share helpful demos and guide you every step of the way. Even if you've never picked up a carving tool, this class is for you!
