Supporting the Craft and the Community

At Woodcraft, we support the makers, woodworkers and creators of all skill levels, and we invest in the communities that shape the way people build and express their ideas. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor a variety of corporate initiatives that reflect our values of craftsmanship, education and service. From honoring Veterans through Turn for Troops to supporting trusted voices like Wood Talk and The Wood Whisperer, these partnerships help us connect more people to the woodworking tools, knowledge and support that bring creative work to life.

Turn for Troops

Woodcraft is proud to lead and support Turn for Troops, a nationwide effort to honor U.S. service members and veterans through the craft of pen turning. Each year, Woodcraft retail stores across the country host a free event where volunteers create wooden pens and include personal messages of appreciation. You do not need any woodworking experience to participate. It requires only a willingness to help and a desire to give back. The pens may be small, but the impact is lasting. Since the program began in 2004, volunteers have turned and donated more than 250,000 pens.
