Pen Turning

Saturday, October 4, 10 AM - 2 PM

Join us to turn your very own pen. We will start the session off with some basic safety techniques and an overview of the minimum equipment needed to successfully turn a pen. One Wall Street pen kit will be provided to students and we will focus on turning and and finishing the pen. The instructor will also guide each student through pen assembly. At the end of the session you will get to take your brand new pen home with you. For those who finish early, and wish to continue turning, they may purchase and turn another pen kit if they desire. Note: Only wooden pens will be turned during this session. .

Just Get Started! Make a Cutting Board

Sunday, October 5, 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Learn to make a cutting board with different species of wood. Once you get the wood prepared, you'll glue everything together. After some time for drying, Matt will guide you through the final steps so your custom cutting board is ready for use.

Build An Electric Guitar

Part 1: Friday, October 10, 5 PM - 9 PM

Part 4: Sunday, November 2, 12 PM - 5 PM

Designed for a beginner, this intensive 4-day course will teach you the skills needed to build a basic, “T” style electric guitar. We provide all the materials for the body and include an assembled neck and hardware to complete the guitar. During the first 3 days you will use table saw, jointer, planer, clamps, drum sander, router/router table, drill press, hand sanders, and other hand tools to build the body, set the neck and install the hardware. Following a guitar finish discussion, you are responsible for applying a finish your guitar body (and neck if needed) before returning for the final day where the guitar will be completed including installation of the electronics. (You provide the finishing materials. The 10% class discount would apply to items purchased in the store.)
