Learn the fundamentals of box joint joinery in this hands-on class featuring the JessEm Box Joint Jig! Participants will learn how to safely set up and use the jig to create strong, great-looking box joints for woodworking projects. Along the way, we’ll cover router table setup, spacing, and techniques for getting clean, consistent results. By the end of class, each student will go home with a custom wooden box they built themselves and the confidence to keep exploring box joint joinery in future projects. Minimum 3 students.

Wayne Peterson will take you through the process of creating a traditional Japanese panel using hand tools. You will create the most popular pattern, the Asa-no-ha, opening the possibility of additional patterns to enhance your woodworking projects! Minimum class size of 3 people. Tools required: 3/4 or 1" SHARP chisel, small mallet, #2 square drive screwdriver.
