Minimum age 18. Learn the basics of woodturning through hands-on spindle turning in the morning and bowl turning in the afternoon. Subjects covered in depth will include the lathe and key accessories, speed, maintenance, safety, tool use, mounting techniques, tips, tricks and sharpening. Combine this class with a little practice and you can become a woodturner.
Minimum age 18. Each student will make a Shaker style table using the table saw, planer, jointer and router. Safety issues for each of these tools and others will be covered. Students will receive a good foundation for future woodworking endeavors by making a piece of furniture they will be proud to have completed. This is our most popular class - reserve your spot early.
Minimum age 18. A great introduction to the Shaper Origin and its capabilities. Whether you are a new user or wondering if this is the right tool for your shop, this class will explore the basic workflow and operation of the Shaper. We’ll cover the basics of the machine itself from scan and design to cut. There will be an opportunity for each student to make a cut on the Shaper. Come and experience the many things you can do with this machine. Previous router experience required.
