Minimum Age 18. Students will learn to lay out and hand cut through and half blind dovetails. At the end of this class, you will be able to plan your projects around the pinnacle of woodworking joints...the dovetail. Tuition includes a new, personal chisel for each student.
Minimum Age 18. Fixed Blade. From hunting and camping to preparing a simple meal, a good knife is indispensable. Learn the ins and outs of making your own knife handles. Tuition includes all supplies needed to create your own knife. Stan will cover sizing, shaping, fastening, finishing and polishing. You'll walk out of class with a sharp treasure!
Minimum Age 18. Learn the steps of dressing rough lumber into finished stock for final project use. This hands on class will address cupped, warped and bent stock, controlling snipe, tapering boards when desired and the differences between helical and straight knife cutter heads.
