Only at Woodcraft of Harrisburg, a free hands on event with Kutzall Tools! In this introductory course, we will explore the fascinating world of power carving, a creative technique that allows you to quickly sculpt and shape wood using power tools. This class will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to create intricate and detailed carvings, beginning with a basic template. Throughout this class, you will learn the fundamentals of power carving, including: (1) Power Tool Selection- You’ll become familiar with a variety of rotary tools, proper mounting, and operation; (2) Product Assortment- With a wide array of shapes and grades of coarseness, you’ll learn the differences, and which one is best for your application. (Advantages over ‘conventional’ tools); (3) Safety Precautions- Power carving involves working with high-speed tools, so we will emphasize the importance of safety gear and proper techniques; (4) Maintenance- We’ll discuss simple care instructions to help you maintain the life of your tools.
