In this introduction to Woodworking class, you'll have the opportunity to build a beautiful end table from solid Mahogany. Designed for beginner woodworkers , this course offers a comprehensive introduction to woodworking. You'll learn the fundamental of wood science, basic joinery methods and the importance of accuracy in construction. The class will also cover essential tool safety, tool anatomy, and basic calibration techniques. You'll gain hands-on experience with a variety of tools, including the planer, jointer, table saw, band saw, and drum sander as your craft your own custom end table. . The class spans four consecutive Fridays but may end early due to class progression, and all materials are included in the cost. Please ensure your attire is woodworking appropriate; no jewelry, no sweatshirts with strings, and closed-toed shoes are required. Long hair must be tied back. Teens and adults are welcome to join.

Vessel Carving

A perfect introduction to carving. In this class you will cut, carve and sand a bowl. We will give the beginner carving enthusiast a solid foundation in woodcarving because we address the carving skill from it's simplest building blocks. Learn how to handle your carving tools in the wood; from roughing out the beginnings of your project to the final delicate detailing.

Acrylic Pen Turning

In this class you will learn to turn and assemble an acrylic ballpoint pen. We'll provide tools and materials needed for you to fabricate a customized ballpoint pen.
