Build a Trestle Table

Want to build a new table? How about a Trestle table! In this class, you will build a table from cherry and will learn how to make a large glue up for the top, cut curves and make legs from thicker material. This is not a beginning class-you need to have a working knowledge of how to use a planer, jointer, and a table saw. You will also use the bandsaw and learn how to use the Festool Domino. When you leave the class, you will have a completed table except for finish so you can finish it to fit your needs. The photo is not of the table that will be built.

"Date Night" Cutting Board

Friday, March 13, 2026, 6 PM - 9 PM

The price for this class is per couple. This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn to make your own cutting board (approximately 8” x 16”). In this class, we will start with pre-cut wood strips of exotic woods. We will also discuss the techniques of cutting the wood to specific sizes needed for the cutting board. The process will introduce you to the thickness planer and orbital sander. The cutting board will be finished with food safe mineral oil which will bring out the beauty of the wood. While the glue dries, we will have pizza to enjoy so bring your non-alcoholic beverage and make this a date night to remember.

Bowl Turning Techniques

Saturday, March 14, 2026, 9 AM - 4 PM

In this class, we will take a comprehensive look at the process of turning a bowl. We will discuss methods of roughing out, mounting with chucks, turning, and finishing a bowl. Any and all questions during this process are welcomed. We will turn a small bowl using spur and live centers, chucks, and a friction drive. We will do our turning with traditional turning tools.
