Build A Shaker Style Sofa Table

This popular project is great for the beginning woodworker. If you have taken our "Woodworking Beginnings" class, this is a great way of taking what you have learned and moving up to building a fine piece of furniture. This sofa table will be made with cherry and will complement any style. It will be approximately 15"d x 40"w x 30"h. and have tapered legs in the Shaker style. The construction will use the Kreg Jig, so this class is perfect for any beginner. We also offer a class on building a matching end table (coming up soon in the class schedule). Check it out!

"Date Night" Ice Cream Scoop

This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn woodturning and make a turned handle for an ice cream scoop. In this class, we will start with a pre-cut wood blank. We will discuss the techniques of turning the wood on a lathe to the specific sizes needed for the handle for a pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, or cheese slicer kit.

Build A Shaker-Style End Table

Our woodworking beginnings class introduces you to preparing wood to completing a nice little stool using dowel pins. The Shaker-Style End Table repeats the prep step and introduces you to Kreg jig joinery, tapering legs, and how to handle wood expansion. This class takes you through all the prep steps and introduces you to another design feature-bottom tapering the top to give another dimension to the overall look of the table. Like our other beginning classes, this is a stand-alone class. You can be a true beginner and still end up with a beautiful piece of furniture! This table is made out of solid cherry and is sized to act as an end table that will beautifully compliment the sofa table that many of you have built in our previous classes.
