Turning Wood Pens

Turning a pen is about as close to instant gratification as you can get in woodworking. It's quick, quiet and makes just enough mess to make you feel like you've accomplished something. Learn all about the components used such as pen blanks, mandrels, bushings and the pen press while honing your spindle turning skills. Pen turning is easy, enjoyable and it's the answer if limited shop space and time are keeping you from pursuing woodworking. Note: pen kits are provided; buy or bring your own 1"x1"x6" blank.

Frameless European Cabinetry

This course will equip you with the skills to master frameless, European-style cabinet construction. We will cover the entire process, from design and layout to milling and assembly. You'll learn how to construct cases, drawers with under-mount hardware, and cope-and-stick doors with Euro hinges and drawer fronts. The class will include both hands-on learning and demonstrations. To maximize our time together, some materials will be pre-milled. As a group, we will collaborate to build a complete lower cabinet. By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in cabinetry, enabling you to confidently design and build your own projects. Note: a $25 materials fee (cash or Venmo) will be collected by the instructor at the start of the class.
