Inlays Part 3: Using Epoxy

Part 1: Tuesday, April 29, 6 PM - 9 PM

Part 2: Wednesday, April 30, 6 PM - 9 PM

If your inlay pattern includes complicated or irregular shapes, epoxy can simplify the process and give a unique finished look. In this two-evening class, you'll use a router to cut the void and then choose a color, mix the epoxy and fill the void. The epoxy needs time to cure so during the second evening, you'll plane, sand and finish the board. At the end, you'll be ready to make more challenging shapes and patterns for future projects. Note: A $20 materials fee (cash or Square) will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class.

Make a River Charcuterie Board

Part 1: Monday, May 5, 6 PM - 9 PM

Part 2: Tuesday, May 6, 6 PM - 9 PM

Part 3: Tuesday, May 13, 6 PM - 9 PM

Learn how to easily make an epoxy river charcuterie board using a pre-formed quick release silicone mold. Also gain experience incorporating cool stuff into the epoxy to help you personalize future projects. Using power tools to complete your board is just icing on the cake. Note: A $60 materials fee (cash or check) will be collected by the instructor first day of class.

Bowl Turning with Carbide Tools

Wednesday, May 7, 6 PM - 9 PM

Are you interested in taking a fun and creative woodworking class? If so, this class is for you! It’s the perfect make-and-take bowl turning class for beginners (no experience needed). In this class, you can focus solely on the creative process of bowl turning. We use carbide tools, which are amazingly durable and stay sharp much longer than traditional turning tools. We also explore the range of carbide tools available and how to use them, and we provide basic lathe techniques to help you turn the perfect bowl. Note: A $20 materials fee (cash or Venmo) is collected by the instructor at the start of class.
