Curious about refinishing or upcycling older furniture? Then this overview class is for you. Bob will discuss current products and methods, to repair, refinish or change the appearance of your favorite piece of furniture, or that thrift store finds. We will cover stripping methods, repair of existing finishes and color-over procedures. Common finish problems and the solutions will also be covered. Tool List: Notebook With Paper And A Pen Or Pencil. Tuition Notes: No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class. Reschedules only.

Using hand tools can take your woodworking to the next level, however, to use them effectively, you need to know how to sharpen them, and keep them sharp. Grinding, honing, and stropping will be covered, and when and how to apply each, to keep your tools operating at the peak of performance. By the end of the class, you will understand what sharp is and know how to achieve it in your shop. Bring a chisel or plane iron of your own, and if time permits you can start sharpening your tools.
