Basic Table-Saw Skills - Table-saw 101

Learn the basics of the most useful machine in your shop, the table-saw. We will cover the selection of the table-saw blades and accessories. Also, covered will be tune-up and maintenance of the table-saw. The basic safety rules will be covered and stressed. Using square stock, the instructor will demonstrate the safe way to complete the eight basic cuts, which are the basis for about 98% of table-saw operations. Each student will have an opportunity to practice the 8 basic cuts in class. Tool List: Safety glasses with side shields, dust mask, and hearing protection are mandatory. Shop apron, notebook and pencil are recommended. Tuition Notes: No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class. Reschedules only. Includes materials.

Each student will get hands on time with tools and should feel confident to start woodworking at home.
