This popular class that will instruct the students on the proper and safe use of power tools. You will make a cutting board using multiple machines, including; table saw, jointer, planer, band saw drill press drum sander, etc. This is a hands on class, that will give you the confidence to operate shop machinery safely, and construct a finished cutting board you can be proud of.
Looking for a fun and creative date night? Join us for a woodworking class where you and your significant other will learn basic woodworking skills while creating a set of custom measuring cups together. We’ll provide all the materials, along with charcuterie board and soft drinks, so all you need to do is show up and enjoy making sawdust! Each month, we feature different small projects like pens, bottle openers, and pepper grinders, making it the perfect recurring date activity. No prior experience is required, just bring your enthusiasm and let’s get crafting!" Cost of class is per couple.
Learn the essential techniques to turn rough-cut lumber into perfectly squared, flat, and smooth boards using three key tool: the planer, jointer, and table saw. We will take care of bowing, twisting, crowning, Starting with rough lumber, you'll first flatten one face and edge on the jointer to create a stable reference surface. Then using the planer you'll thickness the board to the desired dimensions, ensuring a smooth and uniform surface. Finally, you'll square the opposite edge and the width of the board o the table saw, making sure all four sides are perfectly aligned. this class is perfect for beginners and intermediate woodworkers who want to master the fundamentals of milling lumber, laying a strong foundation for more advanced woodworking projects.
