Expanding on the world of pen turning, this class this class will teach you more advanced techniques using the skew. We focus on taking a piece of wood and turning it into a handle for either a shop tool or one of our many turning kits. Students will have a choice of either a small pizza cutter or ice cream scoop to turn in class.
Welcome to the exciting world of pen turning! This class is made for all ages eight and up. Starting with a nice piece of wood and some hardware, by the end of class you have a beautiful, functional pen you made yourself. Learn the fundamentals of creating a pen, from wood and tool selection to proper lathe techniques and finishing.
If you are thinking about buying a tablesaw or have recently purchased one. This class is designed to introduce the beginning woodworker to this versatile tool and its many uses. We will cover table saw set up, ripping, cross cuts and more.
Amp up your carving project and learn how to get started with power carving. We’ll review common machines and burrs for a strong start!

Learn the differences in finishes, and which are safe for food and which are not. We will explore the differences between oils, waxes, and poly. All while helping you pick which is right for your project.
