This class is an introduction to woodworking. It features the basic tools to make wood straight, flat and square. Students will use the jointer, planer, table saw, miter saw, and router table. Glue up and clamping techniques will also be covered. The output of this class will be a charcuterie board.
Half blind dovetails make beautiful and artistic drawers or boxes. In this class you will learn to layout and cut half blind dovetails using only hand tools.
Get started carving with a simple cowboy boot! Learn the basics, how to hold your tools and what they are called, how to sharpen and how best to tackle a new project. You will need a cut resistant glove and a thumb guard. Students must be at least 13 years old and accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.
