For new turners or anyone wanting hands-on coaching using and sharpening spindle turning tools (roughing and spindle gouges, and parting tool). Practice forming beads, coves and combined shapes to make your own candlestick or bud vase.
Build on the morning session with more advanced spindle turning, including how to use a skew gouge. Then, dive deeper, using the spindle gouge for end grain hollowing...and make a cool Goblet to toast your success.
In this class we will go over the safety and process of all the tools needed for class. We will be making a basic charcuterie board that you get to leave with finished at the end of this class. Students must be over 14 years old, with an accompanied adult over 18 years of age.
