This class is an introduction to woodworking. It features the basic tools make wood straight, flat and square. Students will use the jointer, table saw, router and drill press. Glue up and clamping techniques will also be covered. The output of this class will be a cheese slicer.
Have fun making a box as you get hands-on experience using our shop machines. You will use the table saw, jointer, and planer to prep and cut the materials. We also show you clamping strategies and how to be efficient in glue ups. It's a great introduction to woodworking machinery.
This class is for the true beginner, covering scroll saw safety, blade choice and pattern transfer. Learn cutting techniques using practice pieces and simple patterns with curves, turns and straight lines. You will be using our Hegner machines.
