Find out what a router can do! Almost anything with the help of a jig! Have one? Bring it. We will discuss the features and how to setup any router. Router bit characteristics, categories and how to safely use them will be demonstrated. Half of this class is dedicated to the students to get hands-on practice to gain confidence while using this machine. You will be able to free hand your own name!
In this class we will go over the safety and process of all the tools needed for class. You will leave with the understanding of how to make dimension lumber work for your project. We will be making a basic charcuterie board that you get to leave with finished at the end of this class. Students must be over 13 years old, with an accompanied adult over 18 years of age.
Build on the Router Basics course and use the router table with ease. We will discuss and understand all the settings and capabilities of this versatile tool. You will setup and create rabbets, dadoes, and edge profiles to perfection. Even on non-regular shapes. You will also practice a stop cut, sliding dovetails and tongue and groove joinery.
