Shop Safety Re-Built

Woodcraft's Shop Safety Re-Built class is an introduction to safe shop practices. As this class is a prerequisite to other classes offered by Woodcraft, the instructor will discuss general safety concerns as they relate to the equipment located in our shop. It also presents the student an opportunity to become familiar with Woodcraft's particular machinery. While your own equipment will most likely be different than ours, the safety practices learned will be easily applied in your shop. Hands on experience will be gained on some of the most commonly used equipment in the shop. In this new and expanded version of the class, we will also be discussing the different types of safety equipment available for shop use, from safety glasses to first aid kits. Hand Plane Basics

Not getting the most our of your hand planes? Perhaps this class will help. In this hands on class, you will learn the basics of using this most versatile of hand tools. Students are encouraged to bring one handplane with a sharpened blade. CLS080

Ultimate Epoxy Experience

Part 1: Saturday, May 11, 9 AM - 1 PM

Part 2: Sunday, May 12, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Students who register for this class will receive 8+ hours of in depth instruction from Jess Crow, one of the nation's leading epoxy artist's and innovators. Topics covered include using molds, making molds, mixing colorants and resin, conducting deep pours, de-molding projects, sanding, and applying a final epoxy finish. In addition to the extra time spent with Jess in a smaller class setting, all students will receive one of Jess' signature reusable resin molds to take home and use for future projects ($259.99 value)! You will be working on two projects throughout this class. One will be a multi-layered pour you will work over the two days and one will be done the first day of class and demolded the second day.
