An American Classic: The Adirondack Chair

This is a hands-on class where students will build their own chair and take it home along with the templates to build more! By following a plan, using templates and power tools, you will learn to build an American Classic - the Adirondack chair. Instructions for finishing will be covered for you to complete at home. Each student is responsible for supplying their own tape measure, steel rule, adjustable square, pencils or other marking device, notebook, cordless drill, router, jigsaw, Adirondack Chair Templates (#836267), safety glasses and hearing Protection.

Make A Custom Knife Handle

In this hands on class, students of any skill level will learn the ins and outs of knife making! With a set of wooden knife scales and knife kit of your choosing, each student will create their own custom knife to take home. The instructor will cover how to attach the scales to your knife blank, shaping, sanding and the final finishing. Each student is responsible for supplying their own knife kit, knife scales, hearing protection and safety glasses.

Woodturning: Bowl And Mallet

In this hands-on class, you will learn both of the main skills in woodturning; face plate turning and how to create all of the basic spindle shapes and cuts. Students will turn a small bowl and a wooden mallet. This is the perfect class for the beginning turner, or a great way to hone your turning skills. Each student is responsible for supplying their own roughing gouge, bowl gouge, spindle gouge, skew, parting tool, face shield and dust mask.
