Learn this beautiful carving technique from a master in this all-day hands-on class. Come by the store to see examples of what you will learn and make. Each student is responsible for supplying their own chip carving cutting and stab knives, a carving glove, and safety glasses.
Trim your tree with ornaments you turned yourself while making lasting memories! Come learn the basic skills needed to turn small ornate objects on your lathe. Students will be turning basic pendant type Christmas ornaments in this hands-on class. These will highlight your own tree or make great gifts for the coming holiday season! Tools provided by the instructor include a sharp 1/2in spindle gouge and a sharp 3/16in parting tool. You may bring your own if you desire. Each student is responsible for supplying their own safety glasses and hearing protection.
If you have ever wanted to learn more about CNC machines then this is the class for you. This lecture class utilizes the Shark CNC Machine and VCarve Software. The instructor will start with the basics; how to set up a Shark CNC machine, what the display commands mean, and VCarve software setup. You will learn how to use the VCarve software including setting the work piece size and understanding the basic Icons. You will learn about designing objects, creating toolpaths, and saving your work. Each student is responsible for supplying their own personal laptop loaded with VCarve Pro Trial.
