Join Charlie and other carvers of all skill levels in four sequential sessions to learn the techniques of relief carving. Charlie Milliser is a well known local carver who truly enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of relief carving with his students. Please direct questions to Charlie at cjmilliser@gmail.com. Tuition is for 9 hours of class time. Students are required to participate in 4 sessions in a row.

Scroll Saw 101

Tuesday, March 17, 2026, 10 AM - 4 PM

This course introduces you to one of the most productive (and fun) tools in any workshop...the scroll saw. In this hands-on class, you will learn saw set-up, proper operation, proper blade selection, and how to fine-tune your scroll saw. You will learn how to make internal and external cuts and do several practice exercises that increase in difficulty as you go. By the end of the class, you will be ready to tackle any scroll saw project.

Introduction To Woodturning

Saturday, March 21, 2026, 9 AM - 5 PM

Join us in the shop and learn the basics of lathe turning and how to correctly turn spindles. This class is designed for the beginning turner as well as those students who have done some turning but may still have some questions about spindle turning. Each student will turn a practice spindle, and a small woodworker's mallet to take home. Students will learn the parts of the lathe, turning tools, proper turning techniques, finishing techniques used for turning, and SAFETY while turning.
