Join Charlie and other carvers of all skill levels in four sequential sessions to learn the techniques of relief carving. This course introduces you to one of the most productive (and fun) tools in any workshop...the scroll saw. In this hands-on class, you will learn saw set-up, proper operation, proper blade selection, and how to fine-tune your scroll saw. You will learn how to make internal and external cuts and do several practice exercises that increase in difficulty as you go. By the end of the class, you will be ready to tackle any scroll saw project.

Bring your own laptop and copy of VCarve if you have it. Students will leave with a small, 2-Dimensional relief carving of their own design. More advanced topics, such as inlay and 3-Dimensional carving, will be discussed.
