Make a Shaker Style Side Table

Part 1: Saturday, September 19, 2026, 9 AM - 5 PM

Part 2: Sunday, September 20, 2026, 9 AM - 5 PM

In this two day class, students will make a Shaker Side Table from solid Cherry with instruction from Neil Donovan. Standing 29" inches tall and 21" x 21" wide this table is constructed using Kreg Pocket Hole Joinery and features tapered legs cut on the table saw using a jig. The Power Tools students will be using are the table saw, compound miter saw, jointer and drum sander. Finishing options will be discussed. A 10% discount is offered to students wishing to purchase finishing materials for their tables that they will complete at home.

Turning A Fishing Lure

Thursday, September 24, 2026, 6 PM - 9 PM

Fish on! Every tackle box needs a classic surface lure for attracting monster muskie, pike and bass. In this class, Tom Wood will teach students to turn the wood into the correct form, apply the outer skin, and seal a torpedo style fishing lure. The final step will be mounting the hardware and hooks. The students will take home the fishing lure that they complete. For those new to turning on a Lathe, it will give you the opportunity to understand how much fun it is. The next step would be to take Tom's Pens, Pens, Pens class or our Spindle turning class taught by Devon Palmer.

Date Night - Cheese Plane/Bottle Stopper!

Friday, September 25, 2026, 6 PM - 9 PM

No Experience Necessary! Devon Palmer will show you how to complete two very useable kitchen instruments in this Date Night Class! Devon will demonstrate how to mount the blanks and how to turn and then sand them prior to instructing you on how to finish them. It will be a great night out to also learn a little bit about turning on a lathe.
