Skills introduced: 1. Learn Basic Joinery Layout. 2.Learn How to Use Marking Gauge for Layout Work. 3. Learn How to Cut Half Lap Joinery Using Chisels. You will learn basic hand tool woodworking skills using chisels, marking gauge, Ghent or small tenon saw (optional), as you build a contemporary towel rack for your home using a basic half lap joints. After the lessons of this basic woodworking class, you should be able to build a number of projects with this simple joint and small set of tools.
