Students will learn knife etiquette, basic cuts (stop, push and pull cuts) and a few extended/intermediate cuts, as well as how to care for and maintain your carving knife.

Router types, bits, techniques and jigs will be covered in this 3-hour class with an emphasis on safety. Routers will be provided but students are encouraged to bring their own tools, if desired, to address issues specific to individual manufacturers.

Using your router to create projects gets a little easier with a jig or template. We’ll walk you through the basics how to rout with a template.
