Description: This two-day course is designed to introduce students to the techniques needed for segmented bowl turning. Participants will learn how to plan a project and select materials and tools. The first session of this class will discuss how to design a segmented bowl, layout the components needed for the design, how to appropriately cut the sized pieces and glue the pieces together into a rough bowl. The second session will be turning the bowl to match the initial design and finishing the bowl. . While some turning experience will be helpful, it is not a required requisite for this course. At the end of the class, each student will take home s beautiful segmented bowl. All materials will be provided.
