Steve will guide you through the steps necessary to give you a keen edge on these tools. This class will focus on using wet/dry sandpaper in various grits, however the information will be relevant to water stones and oil stones as well. Come and enjoy this class, one I am sure you will use frequently in the shop.
Students will practice the cuts appropriate for shaping and smoothing the inside and outside using a bowl gouge, parting tool and a scraper. At the end of the class students will have turned a bowl on their own!
This class will help both the beginner and Intermediate develop the skills to bring a new project from concept through construction. In this two part class students will: - Develop a project concept. - Create working drawings, including detailed measurement and construction details. - Develop a materials list and cut sheet. - Utilizing the newly created plan, students will build their project. Project construction will utilize the use of the band saw, jointer, planer, table saw along with other shop tools. If you are looking to learn to design your own projects, this is the class for you!
