Cutting fine joinery is essential to making fine furniture. Students will learn dovetail joinery through a combination of demonstrations and hands- on practice. Tool will be supplied. Materials included in tuition. No refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of class date.
Make a floating shelf in this class and learn the steps involved so you can add multiple to your home, office or other space! In this class you will learn basic milling steps in preparing your wood for becoming a shelf, how to safely use machines such as the jointer, planer, table saw, miter saw, and drill press. This shelf will be a solid hardwood shelf, with traditional floating shelf hardware for a clean and seamless look. All materials are included in the price. Your shelf will be 24" L, 7" deep and about 2" thick. You have the option to leave with the shelf finish/stain ready, or you can oil it with mineral oil for a natural finish. Materials included in tuition. No refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of class date.
Students will complete their own piece of fine furniture, a cherry table with a floating top that will look good as a hall table , or sofa table. You will learn with and use the jointer, planer, drill press, router, pocket hole jig, taper jig, drum sander, and more. Materials included in tuition.
