Tools Required: Your laptop with VCarve Pro installed and a flash drive to save the toolpath files to.
Description: If you own a CNC machine but are uncertain how to “make it go” with your own designs, this class is for you. Each student will create a clock design, working through the process step-by-step with the instructor. Design skills will include creating circles, using the offset tool, centering objects, creating a circular array, creating and placing text, working with 3D clip art, and more. When the design is complete you’ll create toolpaths for each aspect of the design, and learn how to send the toolpaths through the correct post-processor for your machine. We’ll wrap the session up by cutting one clock design on a CNC machine, so you’ll see how to mount the material, zero axes, and do bit changes.
