Learn how to select and prepare your live edge materials, mix and pour Total Boat epoxy, and the proper techniques for milling, sanding and finishing.
This is a three-night class to learn how make a 9" x 11" end grain cutting board using assorted hard woods, i.e. maple, cherry, walnut or purpleheart. Students will learn to mill rough wood, design their cutting board and coasters, glue up and clamp the design on the first evening. The second session will include jointing, planing, and a second glue up. The final session will focus on sanding and finishing the cutting board.
This is our standard Fundamentals of Woodworking class, but for those who identify as women, nonbinary or queer individuals only.
