5 Days • 5 Projects • Real Tools • Real Skills Our Kids Woodworking Summer Camp is designed for young makers (ages 10 and up) who are ready to learn real woodworking skills and create projects they’ll be proud to use and show off. We begin the week by learning essential shop safety, tool handling, and how a wood lathe works. Students will practice proper stance, tool control, and safe operation before starting their first turning project. Each day students will complete a new lathe project, building both skills and confidence as the week progresses. Projects include: custom turned pen, handcrafted pizza cutter, beautiful hardwood ice cream scoop plus two additional fun and functional turned projects. Spots are limited to keep instruction safe and personal. Sign up early and give your young maker a summer camp experience they’ll never forget.

Porter Cable Dovetail Jig

Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 5:30 PM - 9 PM

Minimum Age 18. This class is for those who wish to enhance their projects with professional looking dovetail joints. Students will use the Porter Cable 12" dovetail jig while making all four joints: through, half-blind, box and sliding. Jig set up and adjustment as well as when the different joints are applied will be thoroughly covered.

Shaper Origin 2.0

Saturday, June 20, 2026, 12 PM - 6 PM

Minimum age 18. An intermediate class to demonstrate and practice more advanced capabilities of the Shaper Origin. Geared towards those who either have a Shaper or have used it in some capacity. If you have a Shaper, bring it. In the morning we will go over Shaper Plate, Workstation and Plate. After a brief lunch, you will use your own shaper to practice and troubleshoot a small project of your choice using Tape only. No Shaper, no problem. Students can alternate using Woodcraft's Shaper, Experience with the Shaper Origin is highly encouraged. Intro to Shaper Origin class is offered bi-monthly and is a prerequisite to this class if you have limited or no experience using the Shaper Origin.
