    Heavy and sharp. Nice finish.

This is a nice heavy slicer that is quite sharp. Should last for many years of use. Because of the weight you'll want to opt for a heaver wood for the handle and keep it fairly thick so it's balanced. The matte (brushed) finish is very attractive. IMPORTANT NOTE: The instructions I printed off woodcraft.com specify a 25/64" Pen Maker’s Bit. However, it looks like the manufacturer has changed the size of the insert and the specified bit is too large. Check the size printed on the packaging for the correct size.
