Yucatan Rosewood (Dalbergia yucatensis) is a hard, light-reddish cinnamon brown wood with darker stripes. Grain is straight to interlocked with a medium to fine texture. Overall easier to work than other rosewoods, it turns well and has less allergenic properties than other Dalbergia, such as Cocobolo and Honduras Rosewood.
