Yucatan Rosewood (Dalbergia yucatensis) is a hard, light-reddish cinnamon brown wood with darker stripes. Grain is straight to interlocked with a medium to fine texture. Overall easier to work than other rosewoods, it turns well and has less allergenic properties than other Dalbergia, such as Cocobolo and Honduras Rosewood. Commonly used for furniture, musical instruments and sports equipment.
