Looking for that unique project? How about a Lazy Susan! This 14" Lazy Susan is made from cherry and finished with a wax finish. This class is a great beginner class to teach you how to glue boards together, use the jointer, planer, bandsaw, and router with a template. This project is a great addition to any home.
In this class we will be making a Cancer Survivor slimline pen. This is a great gift for the cancer survivor to show them that you are thinking of them. Joe will teach you the basics of pen turning and finishing.
The router has a reputation as being a tool that is mostly used by advanced woodworkers, but this is not the case. Properly used, the router can be the most useful tool in your arsenal. This class is designed to introduce you to the many ways this tool is used, from edge jointing to edge decorating to dadoing and rabbiting, as well as sign making. Properly jigged, the router can also be used for flattening and thicknessing lumber and even cutting holes and disks. There will also be some discussion about router tables. Bring your safety glasses, ear plugs, your own router (so Joe can see what you have to work with), and be prepared to learn about the scope and versatility of this most useful tool.
We have teamed up with the Miami Valley Woodcarvers to bring you another carving contest. This is open from 10/1/2025-11/30/2025 for hand carved Santa's. The Santa must be carved from a 2"x2"x6" block of wood and there is only 1 entry per person. The Santa must be carved by the person that enters it. Check our store's event page for a photo of the flyer with all the rules and prizes. Judging will be done by the Miami Valley Woodcarvers on 12/16/2025.
This meeting is open to anyone that has a CNC, is thinking about a CNC, or just needs help with Vectric software. We talk everything CNC and encourage you to bring in your projects, both good and bad, to tell us what you learned so others can learn from you. No preregistration is required and this is a free event.
