With Intro to Woodworking I, the student will learn the basic aspects, safety measures and uses of power tools and furniture assembly procedures. You will complete a small wall hanging cabinet. You will gain hands-on experience with basic joinery' how to "4 square" a board as well as hardware installation by the end of the last session.
Have you ever wanted to try turning on a wood lathe? Join us in this introductory class and learn about the lathe and associated tools. Not only will you learn proper processes for spindle turning on the lathe safely and effectively, but you’ll also go home with an attractive candlestick holder. Use the basic skills from this class to move on to other turning classes like pen and bowl turning. All materials are included.
Personalized Turned Pen: In this project, children will turn wooden pen blanks on a lathe to create unique writing instruments. They'll have the opportunity to personalize the pens with Dad's initials, favorite colors, or special designs, making each pen a one-of-a-kind gift. Laser Engraving available.
