Personalized Grill Cutting Board: Participants will create a customized cutting board designed specifically for grilling enthusiasts. They'll learn how to personalize the board with Dad's name or a special message and incorporate features such as juice grooves and handles for easy handling.
With Intro to Woodworking I, the student will learn the basic aspects, safety measures and uses of power tools and furniture assembly procedures. You will complete a small wall hanging cabinet. You will gain hands-on experience with basic joinery' how to "4 square" a board as well as hardware installation by the end of the last session.
In this class you will learn the processes for safely turning a wooden bowl on the lathe. You will complete an attractive bowl that’s about six inches in diameter and two inches deep. It is HIGHLY recommended that you take the Introduction to the Wood Lathe class prior to enrolling in this class as we will be building on the skills learned in the intro class. All materials are included.
Using your router to create projects gets a little easier with a jig or template. We’ll walk you through the basics how to rout with a template.
