Do you and your significant other want to try something different on "Date Night?" Why not learn basic wood working skills and have fun creating a one-of-a-kind project together? We will provide the food, soft drinks, and materials. You only need to show up and be ready to make some saw dust. In this class you will make a charcuterie board which will involve working with a band saw, router and various sanding tools. You will also make a cheese knife which will include attaching knife scales and shaping the handle. This will involve use of a scroll saw and various sanding tools. Individuals will also learn the technique of finishing these items. Cost is $150 per couple. Safety glasses, Mask or face covering is required. Class size is limited. Chip Carving 102: Nothing But Curves

This course is a continuation of 'Introduction to Chip Carving' and has been designed to complement the techniques previously achieved (three-sided chips). A refresher on safety and resources on the craft will be given prior to starting new material. This course will focus on curved chips as well as the 'stacking method' - a technique often utilized when carving intricate designs that come to a single point. A practice board with different layouts of these designs will be provided. At the conclusion of this class, you will leave with the skills needed to carve intricate pieces with the stacking method. Safety Glasses, Mask or Face Covering is Required. You will also need to acquire your own chip carving knife and sharpening stone (ceramic recommended)

Introduction To Resin Casting

In this beginner class we will explain the steps and necessary equipment and products to produce acrylic pen blanks. Using Alumilite Clear Slow and adding dyes or Alumidust, for a unique look, you will produce a one-of-a-kind pen blank, pouring your mix in a form. The final step, to insure there are no bubbles, will be to place your creation in a pressure pot for an overnight cure. Return the next day to take home the beautiful blank you created; then turn it at your leisure on your own lathe. Safety glasses, Mask or face covering is required. Class size is limited.
