Folding Rocking Chair

Are you ready to build your own truly unique project. In this class you will make a folding rocking chair under the hands-on guidance of the chair’s designer. Made from high quality cherry and maple woods, it is sure to become a family heirloom. In the class, we will use the bandsaw, table saw, miter saw, drill press, drum sander, drill, router, and hand tools. Some pieces will be pre-cut before class. Even if you are a woodworking beginner come join us, all skills needed to make this project are explained and supervised by the instructor. Class size is limited to 4 students.

Woodshop 101 at Night

Looking to get started in woodworking but not sure where to begin? This is the class for you! Louis will introduce you to the most common tools in the shop and assure you understand how to operate each of them safely. You will also learn the essentials about wood grain and movement as you move through the milling process. Students will be paired up during the class, and will leave with a cutting/serving board that will be a joy to show off. This is a hands-on class so come ready to get dirty, have some fun, and create something beautiful!! This is a two session night class. No Refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of Class date.

Picture Frame and Matting Class

Thursday, February 12, 2026, 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Students will learn to build a picture frame and cut mat board. During this class Michaela will teach you how to build a frame from prepared wood and to professionally mat your own photo or 2D piece of art: 4x6 or 5x7 inches. Take home a finish frame or give it as a gift for the upcoming holidays. Students should bring a 4x6 or 5x7 inch photo or 2D art work.
