Wooden Bench Mallets

The wooden mallet is one of the easiest tools to make, and is essential for all joinery and furniture making. The wooden mallet might be described as a hammer with a wooden head. In this class you will start with your raw materials to make your wooden bench mallets. We’ll be making a traditional style mallet using a solid head and handle and a modern style mallet using different woods for contrast and beauty. We’ll use a variety of tools to complete this task and discuss other designs and uses.
