Shop Jigs & Fixtures: Table Saw Crosscut Sled

with Colby West

Part 1: Monday, October 20, 2025, 6 PM - 9 PM

Part 2: Monday, October 27, 2025, 6 PM - 9 PM

Take this class to make a crosscut sled for your table saw! Students will learn how to make and use a cross-cut sled designed to fit their own table saw, and will also learn about different hold-downs and accessories to increase the versatility of their sled. Each student will leave with a completed crosscut sled, ready to take home and put to use in their shop! NOTE: The tuition includes a pair of Incra 25-1/2" GlideLOCK Steel Miter Slider SE ($46.99/ea), but students can choose to save $90 on tuition by using hardwood runners instead. Woodworking Fundamentals III

Part 2: Sunday, October 26, 2025, 9 AM - 5 PM

In the final part of our Woodworking Fundamentals series, students will spend two days designing and making a bookcase project out of plywood and hardwood. New topics covered during this session include designing casework, processing sheet goods, cutting curves, laying out and creating joinery for casework, and routing and applying millwork. Students will leave with a beautiful maple bookcase and a greater confidence to apply their skills to future woodworking projects.

CNC 201: A Maker's Foundation

with John Lanese

Part 1: Saturday, October 25, 2025, 9 AM - 5 PM

Part 2: Sunday, October 26, 2025, 9 AM - 5 PM

In this two day course, students will build on the skills learned in our CNC 101 and 102 classes by tackling new challenges like: bitmap tracing, node editing, texturing, layering, drilling, arrays, resizing, using clip art, and additional tool types. Typical projects include coasters, platters, charcuterie boards, and more. NOTE: Students must bring their own laptop with V-Carve or Aspire installed, and we also recommend a mouse or other pointing device.
