Coping sled worked as intended
Apparently reviews are usually written by frustrated customers, but I want to add a favorable review. The clamp that holds the workpiece in place is slippery, and if not for the sandpaper strips that came with the product, I would have a similar experience. I discovered that on my first use of the sled in many months, I had clamped the workpiece on the wrong side of the clamp, where there was no sandpaper. Once everything was in place, it held very well and turned out to be a safe and stable way to hold a workpiece for endgrain routing. I can recommend this item for that purpose.

Coping Sled no good
No matter how tightly I turn the hold down the wood will not stay in place. The router pushes it right out. Worthless and a waste of money.

Some times a deal is not a deal
I thought it was a real deal! Once it was used, I was greatly disappointed. It will not hold the rail in place! I tried sandpaper and a few other tricks to make it work. The only thing to do is to screw the rail to the sled. I finally gave up and made my own.

Buy this if you need Aggravation and frustration in your shop
If you need accurate cuts this is not the product, unless the thickness of the wood is the exact same as the jig it will not work with out making a jig to hold the wood on the sled. They should not sell this product and call it a loss. It ruined my project and I had to mill all new wood. Please done buy this!!!

Lacks hold down clamp
They needed 2 go 1 more step and added a clamp 2 hold the piece down. The 1 adjustable side clamp just isn't enuf. Tried 2 find a solution, but it just wasn't worth it. Returned.

Works well, with a little help from a bar clamp
This sled keeps the work piece on the router table, unlike most designs that put the work piece on top of the sled. This is a major advantage. You don't have to reset the bit height after routing long pieces that won't fit on a sled. This saves time, and makes it certain that the long and short edges will match. But putting the work piece under the sled makes it hard to apply enough pressure on the clamp to keep the work piece from moving when it passes the bit without the support of the router fence. The self-adhesive sandpaper strips provided don't help much. But I worked out a simple fix. I used one-handed bar clamp to draw the clamping knob toward the rear handle. The added pressure keeps the workpiece from jumping around as it passes the bit.
