Learn the basics of using power tools for woodworking. You'll learn about the router, drill press, dovetail jigs, jointer, planer, band saw, and more as you create a tool box/garden tote/candle box.
Discover the world of making beautiful pictures with wood. In this class Saman will teach you how to design, cut and assemble varies pieces of wood to make a beautiful picture of a bird on a branch. The finished piece can then be either displayed on it's own or incorporated into a box lid or other project. This is a hand tool class and will teach the student wood selection, how to use a fret saw, scrapers and how to glue up a multi piece panel. $25 Materials Fee Payable to Instructor
In this relief carving class, students will create a bird perched on a cherry branch while learning essential techniques such as depth planning, background removal, smooth transitions, and carving organic forms. Suitable for beginner and intermediate students. Supplies: V-gouge: 12/6 or 12/8, Chisel: 1/5, Straight sweep gouge: 6/16, Straight sweep gouge: 3/5. There is a $25 material fee payable to the instructor.
