Lidded Jewelry Box

Learning how to build a Lidded Box is a great introduction to box making. The skills used to cut accurate miters will be explained in detail as students make their own box. The joints will be reinforced with splines using accenting wood to add strength and beauty. You will be using a variety of tools to accomplish this including the Table Saw, Router, Drum Sander and various hand tools. We will be using hardwoods to complete this project and you can take it home to apply the final finish. Different finishing techniques will be discussed in the class.
