This hands-on class will teach the student the secrets of inside/outside turning. Topics will include setting up the turning blank in order to turn the inside shape of your project. After the inside is complete, you will turn the outside profile...once the outside is completed, you will have unique vessel that will amaze. Join carver Jerry McNulty as he guides you through the steps of carving a full figure flat plane style carving using only a knife. This is a great follow up class to the intro to woodcarving class. Students are welcome from all levels. Basic cuts will be reviewed before the project is started. The Detail Knife included with the Intro to Woodcarving Class is the one recommended for use in this class. No Refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of Class date.
Students will learn to build a 10" x 10" Shadow Box with a glass front. During this class Michaela will teach you how to build a frame for your 3D artworks, trinkets, souvenirs, etc. You are welcome to bring the item or items you plan to put in your 10" x 10" shadow box. We will discuss different ways to finish or mount within your Shadow Box.
