Hand Tool Woodworking III
with Ian LandryTuesday, June 17, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
In this class students will learn how to make their own spokeshave. As the name suggests, this tool’s original purpose was to shape the spokes on a wheel. Every tool must earn its place in a toolbox or on a pegboard. Few tools earn a spot as easily as a reliable, comfortable, shop-made tool. Students will learn a variety of skills by the completion of this class, including of course, how to use their new tool. This course is part of a sequential program aimed to build upon previous lessons with the goal of acquiring the necessary skills to confidently complete the capstone course. While not required, it is recommended that students take Hand-Tool Woodworking I & II prior to this course.
