Basic Cabinet

Part 1: Saturday, October 11, 9 AM - 5 PM

The Basic Cabinet Class is a foundational woodworking course designed to equip beginners with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to construct a Shaker style cabinet. The cabinet dimensions are 16" x 24" x 35". Throughout the course, students will learn essential techniques such as measuring, cutting, and using pocket holes to join wood to create functional and aesthetically pleasing cabinets. The curriculum covers topics including selecting appropriate tools and materials, and safely operating woodworking machinery. Under Bill Martin's guidance, participants will gain hands-on experience allowing them to develop confidence and proficiency in cabinet making. By the end of the course, students will have the skills to embark on their own cabinet-making projects with competence and creativity. Basic Woodworking

Part 2: Sunday, October 19, 9 AM - 5 PM

Just getting started in woodworking or interested in improving your woodworking skills? This foundation course introduces you to the wonderful world of woodworking. In this two day hands-on class you will construct a small wall shelf with a drawer and two shelves using basic joinery techniques. You will also gain experience in how to safely use a miter saw, table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer, router table and sanders. Bill Basic Box

Saturday, November 1, 9 AM - 5 PM

In this class you will build a small lidded box with a lift off lid. Bill has over 20 years of woodworking experience. He will walk you through the entire process of making this exquisite box. By the end of the class you will leave with a very nice-looking box that can be left natural or stained. He will also cover different finishing options to give the box the appearance you desire.
