Basic Woodworking

HANDS-ON. OUR MOST POPULAR CLASS!! ADULTS ONLY - NO YOUTH - 18 YEARS AND OLDER. This foundation course introduces you to the wonderful world of woodworking. You will learn how to set alignment and use the chop saw, table saw, jointer, planner, band saw, router table and a stationary sander. Safety will be emphasized with each machine. Each student will complete a hands-on project using basic joinery techniques. Types of wood and finishing techniques will also be discussed. Turn A Pepper Mill

Part 1: Monday, September 22, 6 PM - 10 PM

Part 2: Tuesday, September 23, 6 PM - 10 PM

HANDS-ON. Paul DeMars has another great class for all our Turners. Spend the day with us and take home a wonderful 10" - 12" tall Pepper Mill. Paul will provide hands-on instruction as each student turns, applies the food safe finish and installs a metal style grinder unit. This will be a very popular class so sign up A.S.A.P. Band Saw Basics

Wednesday, September 24, 6 PM - 10 PM

HANDS-ON. ATTENTION ANYONE THAT HAS A BAND SAW! Are you a beginner or old-timer and have a Band Saw and not sure if it is working just right? Then this is the perfect class for you. This class will begin at "step one" on Band Saw setup and tuneup. Wheel alignment, blade selection, blade installation, cool blocks vs bearing guides and fine tuning will all be covered. Each student will do a setup and then cut a piece of perfect veneer. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THIS CLASS! It is a MUST TAKE for anyone, beginner or old-timer, that uses this great machine.
