Glass Panel Doors

HANDS-ON. This is the perfect sister class to our popular Raised Panel Door class and Cabinet class. Students will learn all the ins-and-outs to make Glass Panel Doors on the router table. Don't under estimate the simple look of a glass door...there are a lot of details in making one but, CMT offers the wonderful Sommerfeld Glass Door router bit set that will have you making cuts that fit perfectly. Standard and Divided Light designs will be shown and students will take home a small finished door that a piece of glass could be installed in. This is a popular class for anyone working with leaded or stain glass. Build your own frames! Space is limited so, sign up A.S.A.P. Basic Pen Turning Class

Saturday, April 4, 2026, 9 AM - 4 PM

HANDS-ON. 14 Years and older, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We have a new Pen Instructor! Join Chuck Silber as he brings the world of pen turning to life. Pen turning on the lathe is a great hobby that can also make extra money. Chuck has a great hands-on approach to teaching and will show students all the steps of how to set up your lathe with the right mandrel and bushings for easy pen turning with great results. You will leave the class with a top notch looking pen and the skills needed to make many more. No refunds for cancellations/reschedules within 7 days of class date.

Basic Turning

Part 1: Monday, April 6, 2026, 6 PM - 10 PM

Part 2: Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 6 PM - 10 PM

Part 3: Wednesday, April 8, 2026, 6 PM - 10 PM

HANDS-ON. Howard Hale will teach this dynamic and fundamental, "3-session", class for all beginning turners. Session #1: Spindle Turning. This class is geared to help you get started on the lathe. Tool selection, handling, safety and machine basics will be covered. You will learn how to make cuts to produce beads, coves and other basic spindle shapes. Session #2: Bowl Turning/Face Grain. Perfect your basic skills by learning to turn a wooden bowl. Face plate turning, tool selection, techniques, sanding and finishing will be covered. Session #3: Bowl Turning/End- Grain. Learn to turn another style of bowl by it's end-grain. End-grain bowls are very different than face-grain bowls and will allow you to expand your turning skills. Howard is a great teacher and will provide each student with hands-on skills that will last a lifetime. No refunds for cancellations/reschedules within 7 days of class date.
