It's a Date! In this class that started the Date Night Woodworking Idea, you and your partner will learn how to cut pen blanks, drill and mount the blanks on the lathe, turn the pen barrels and apply finish. Devon will demo the process, then each of you will turn your pen taking the steps Devon featured with the final step of assembling the pen. During the class, each student will complete a pen that they will be proud to show off. No experience is necessary!

In this class, both parent and child will work together to turn their own ink pen in this introductory course in woodturning. Each one will mount, turn and assemble their own wood blanks then assemble creating a lasting memory of the experience.

You'll be shown how to set up and maintain the machine, as well as how to make a variety of typical cuts, as we walk through making a picture frame you'll take home. This class is a perfect intro or refresher for the table saw - good for all experience levels.
