In this hands-on class you'll craft a beautiful 3 stone cairn lamp, shaping and finishing each stone from hardwood to achieve an organic natural look. You'll learn techniques for sculpting curves, sanding, finishing and lamp assembly/wiring. Each lamp will be unique. Bulb and shade not included.
This will be a "hands on" finishing class where students will learn easy and quick finishes. These take no special mixed ingredients, using only simple, off the shelf materials you can achieve 3-4 different useful finishes that will really express how you feel about your work! No paint brush required! Materials included in tuition. No refunds for Cancellations/Reschedules within 7 days of class date.
Want to try something new and amaze your friends at the same time? In this class we will take you to the next level. We are adding bandsaw techniques and multiple glue-ups that will add complexity and character to your cutting board. Students will get practice using the bandsaw, planer, drum sander and more.
