Learn how to set-up the handheld router and router table to make different types of cuts that are used in making furniture, cabinets, boxes and other woodworking. These techniques will be used to demonstrate several project examples. This class is valuable for everyone from the beginner to the more experienced woodworker wanting to brush up on his or her router and router table skills
With Intro to Woodworking I, the student will learn the basic aspects, safety measures and uses of power tools and furniture assembly procedures. You will complete a small wall hanging cabinet. You will gain hands-on experience with basic joinery' how to "4 square" a board as well as hardware installation by the end of the last session.
This demonstration session offers a condensed introduction to the Shaper Origin, perfect for those curious about its capabilities. We’ll cover the essential features and functions of the Shaper system, including its components, how it operates using cameras and scanning technology, and how to manage projects through Shaper Hub, Studio, and external CAD tools. The session will also touch on Shaper account options, available plans, and support resources. To wrap up, we’ll walk through a simple project—from design to cut—such as a bowtie or barbell, and if time permits, we’ll demonstrate cutting a basic mortise and tenon.
