Shaper Origin Workshop
with Randy KloefkornPart 1: Monday, September 29, 6 PM - 9 PM
Part 2: Tuesday, September 30, 6 PM - 9 PM
This hands-on session is designed to give students direct experience using the Shaper Origin, guiding them through the complete process of designing, setting up, and cutting out projects. Students will choose from a small list of pre-approved designs or create their own simple project using on-screen tools, learning how to scan and grid the workspace, upload or create a design, install the cutting bit, and execute precise cuts. Projects may include bowties, trivets, nameplates, puzzles, or coasters, with the goal of each student completing at least two small items by the end of class. Participants will work with both existing plans and simple custom designs, exploring tools like Shaper Studio, the Workstation, and layout accessories. The session also introduces options for designing with external CAD software for more advanced users.
