You will also learn the proper use of bowl turning tools and how to easily sharpen them. You will be proud to take home and display or use the bowl you make in class.

Prerequisite: Intro To Woodturning Or Equivalent Desirable
Learn how to make the professional pens found in fine gift shops. Mark will instruct you on the complete process from wood selection to the final finish. After completing this class you will take home a completed pen to show off. Soon you will be designing and making these works of art for family and friends.

Learn the fundamentals of knife kit construction to include shaping and installing knife handles or “scales”, custom pins, or rivets provided in the kits, sanding and finishing the handles to produce a knife you’d be proud to own or gift away. In the class you will use a drill press, bandsaw, oscillating sander, and clamps and epoxies. All materials and knife kits are included in this class of four hours over two consecutive days. Each participant will take home the knife created in this class. Please bring your own safety glasses and dust mask

Introduction To Bowl Turning

This class is for the beginner woodworker. In this class we will use fundamental woodworking principles. We will cover how to read plan drawings and use a combination of power tools and hand tools. Students will build and finish a small Shaker inspired table that they will take home and proudly show off their new skills. All materials and tools will be provided.
