Description: This is a two day class involving wood turning and wood carving. A wood "blank" will be prepared and provided for you to turn into a beautiful flute. Native American tribes have been playing flutes, similar to the one you'll be making, for thousands of years. On the first day you'll shape and apply a finish to your flute. Day two will involve tuning, shaping the "wind way"" and carving the fetish to complete your own handcrafted flute.

Description: Unlock the whimsical characters and wood spirits from within one of nature's most unique woods: cypress knees. Cypress "knees" are the little stumps found in swamps of the southeastern United States that protrude from the water in varying shapes, sizes and colors, and have even been known for their excellent carving properties.
