Beginner's Lathe Class

Thursday, June 5, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

This is a hands on class that will introduce you to the basics of woodturning. The focus will be on how to safely use a lathe while having fun. You will learn how secure stock to the lathe as well as the basic parts of the lathe. Curtis will teach you how to use spindle gouges, scrapers, bowl gouges, parting tools, chucks and more. Basic Tool Sharpening will also be introduced. Come join Curtis and have some fun on the Lathe!

Folding Table for your Home or Shop!

It's easy to imagine this table brimming with enough snacks to last you through the big game on TV. But it can also be a great helper in the workshop, holding tools or other materials to keep your workbench clutter free. Best of all, it folds in a flash so it doesn't take up valuable space when you're not using it. You may be tempted to call it a TV snack table but the basic design goes back 200 years! Join GUS in the shop and make one for yourself.

Basic Figure Carving

Join Joe as he walks you through the joyful art of figure carving. This skill is a great one to get under your belt so as to start applying it to your other woodworking projects! In this class, Joe will walk you through the process of creating a great looking carving.
